Marching on

Happily, it seems that March is coming in like a lamb instead of a lion.  It’s difficult not to like March with its promise of spring and some noteworthy fun days ahead.  First we can revel in having a little more light in our day thanks to day-light savings time Also, we can all channel our inner-Irish on the always festive Saint Patrick’s Day.  We can even count on an entire month of spirited excitement with March Madness. Most importantly, though, spring break is just around the corner.  If you’re using the time to get some research done, remember our catalog and most of our databases are available off-campus too.  If you’re planning to come into Reeves Library for some quiet work time, we welcome you.  Please note Reeves Library’s hours during spring break  Have a wonderful break.

Good news – walk-up access to MOSYS computer terminals has returned! We currently have one computer on the main level dedicated to MOSYS (no log-in required), with three more to follow soon – another on the main level, one on the upper level, and one on the lower level in the Groenfeldt Moravian Collection. If you need to look up a book or find something on reserve real quick, we’ve got you covered!

walk-up MOSYS access

If you’re accustomed to using the walk-up catalog computer terminals scattered throughout the library, you may have noticed that they’ve gone missing. (We noticed, too!) MOSYS is being installed on them, which explains their temporary absence. In the meantime, if you need to find materials on reserve or want to search for a book without logging on to a computer, just come to the Reference Desk, and a librarian will help you find what you need. We’ll let you know when the MOSYS terminals return.

MOSYS is here!

MOSYS (Moravian Online SYStem), our new library catalog, makes its debut today! You’ll find it when you mouse over “Find Resources” on the library homepage. It’s also part of the quick search box on the library homepage.

There are lots of differences between MOSYS and our previous catalog, so if you have any trouble finding what you need in MOSYS, please ask a librarian, and we’d be happy to help.
