Chinese librarians to lead discussion in Afterwords Cafe

Join us in the AfterWords Cafe on Monday,  April 18 at 4:00 PM as guest speakers Hong Miao and Zhong Geng, both from Marywood University, lead an informal discussion on:

  • Chinese City and Urban Changes
  • Chinese Library Transformation
  • Chinese Food, and Chinese Tales
  • Legends and Stories of Idioms and Proverbs

Hong Miao has served as a faculty librarian at Marywood University since 2000. She has degrees in Sociology and Library & Information Science. Miao speaks on issues relating to academic libraries and information Literacy both in this country and in China. She will be talking on Chinese tales, legends and stories of idioms and proverbs.

Zhong Geng has served as a system/electronic resources librarian at Marywood University since 1996. He has a degree from Univ. of Tennessee and speaks both in this country and in China on a variety of issues, most recently at the Fifth Shanghai Library Forum conference in Aug, 2010. Moravian College encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities.
