Printing and saving

Now, for a few matters of housekeeping that we’ve been seeing lately . . .

Due to the updated software on our computers, you should always doublecheck which printer you are trying to use. If you are in the library’s computer alcove on the main floor, use 4250ALCOVE; elsewhere on the main floor, use 4250MAINFLOOR; on the lower level, use LOWERLEVELLLJ4250; and for color (yes, you read right – COLOR!), use RICOH6010. The color printer does cost extra, so use it wisely.

Also, be sure to always check where your document is being saved. In order to be on your network drive, the file path must begin with Z: ; instead, if you see C:, the file is being stored on the computer’s hard drive, which will be lost once you log out.
